In October over 10 thousand wagons backed up (+46% above normal), with a limit of 300 wagons per day. KTZ restrictions remain in force in November.

Bolashak → Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan

KTZ is restricting loadings towards this border junction. Volumes to Afghanistan are nonetheless growing.

Transit via Russia → Baltic, EU

Russian Railways rejected all October requests, with no prospects for November. Durum and flax are not moving to Europe; the detour via Belarus and Lithuania is more expensive.

Dostyk / Altynkol → China

Barley DAP $213–217, feed flour DAP Alashankou/Khorgos $255–260. Shipments to China are up 2.6-fold.

Aktau → Iran (Caspian)

Freight $90/t from Aktau, $125/t from Astrakhan. Barley FOB Aktau $210–215.
